Cameron and Erica – 06.06.2009

I truly think that one of the most rewarding aspects of my career is the ability to share in some of the most joyous occasions of people’s lives on a regular basis.  A lot of the time, my clients are strangers; people that I’ve spoken to on the phone a few times, but not really someone that I’ve had a personal connection with.  However, when you’re allowed that special involvement with friends or family, it makes it that much more amazing.  Erica and I were actually only a year apart at our local high school back in the day!  It is truly an honor to have been invited to share such a special day in the life of you and Cameron!  I wish you both all the happiness in the world.  Enjoy!

I Heart Faces – Wedding Bells!

SSSqqqqquuuuueeeeeeee!! That is my big should of excitement about this week on I Heart Faces! Not only is it wedding bells week, which thrills me since that’s the majority of my work, but this week’s guest photographer judge is the one and only J*! That’s right, it’s Jasmine, who has absolutely been one of my biggest idols since I first picked up a camera and thought, why not start my own business!?

I’m not only excited about these two fabulous facts, but I’m also thrilled to share the first of a few pictures from Nicole’s extreme bridal session at Capital Park in Tuscaloosa, AL. This picture won hands down as my favorite face picture, but stick around! In a few days I will feature some more images of this absolutely beautiful girl working it in the ruins!

Jhad and Ulyna – 06.05.2009

One of the greatest compliments that I can get as a photographer is being referred to someone by a previous client.  It makes it even better when I find myself in a situation where I’m sharing life changing events with a family more than once.  I was privileged to have the opportunity to work with Ulyna’s sister LaPora last year at her very own wedding.  Ulyna contacted me soon after to see if I was available for hers, and I am so grateful to have been capable to share in the weddings of these two amazing young women!

Jhad and Ulyna positively radiate love for each other.  The way that they interact and the small smiles that they share touched my heart throughout the night.  My best wishes to you both, I hope you enjoy!

Jonathan and Jamie 05.23.2009

Last fall I had the opportunity to introduce myself to a fabulous couple.  If you follow my blog, you might remember their touching engagement session that can be seen here.  From the day that I met this amazing couple I have known that they have a connection and a chemistry that creates an awe inspiring love.  It’s more than just the way they look each other or the special smiles that they share:  it’s the way that people look at them as a couple, it’s the that people are drawn towards their happiness and it’s the sheer magnitude of their generosity and enjoyment of life that makes me know that they’re truly meant to be.  Jonathan and Jamie thank you so much for allowing me to share in your special day.  I hope you enjoy!

I Heart Faces – Week 23

I am in an absolute state of shock that I Heart Faces has reached it’s 23rd week of photo contests! I am so excited to have been a part of this amazing, inspiring and just plain FUN site since the beginning. I hope that someday I will have the honor of being a judge again, how much fun was that! However, in the meantime I’m going to do my part by entering this week’s adult section with a portrait of my BEAUTIFUL bride Amberly. The sepia tone of this week just makes her eyes pop in this picture, and I think that the love, excitement and joy that she was feeling on this special day just shouts out loud from this picture. A Week of Sneaks!

This is definitely going to be a week of weddings for me!  It’s my goal (we’ll see if it happens!) to have FOUR weddings edited and up on the blog this week.  I’m back to editing madly right now, but in the meantime here’s a sneak for some of my amazing clients!! 

First up, we have Jamie and Jonathan!

Next was Ulyna and Jhad with a beautiful and colorful Friday night celebration!

And finally we have Erica and Cameron who were married in my hometown (and old church!) of DeFuniak Springs, FL.

Andy and Brandy 05.16.2009

The way he looks at her and his eyes light up.  The way she says his name and it seems as though time has stopped.  The caring and the dedication that they have shown to each other, celebrating a love that is tried and true and real.  These are all of the qualities that make up the beauty of the marriage that took place between Andy and Brandy.

I truly think that the best part of my job are the connections and friendships that I am blessed to make with my clients.  Last year when Brandy and I first got together to discuss her wedding photography I knew she wasn’t going to be any exception!  Brandy and Andy are a beautiful and loving couple who chose to celebrate their wedding day in my hometown of DeFuniak Springs!  Brandy and I share an Alma Mater, a hometown, an old neighborhood and a fondness for Marines in uniform.  :)

With beautiful handmade details surrounding their big day, Andy and Brandy celebrated with family and friends to welcome the beginning of their new life together.  I hope you enjoy!
