Eric + Emily |Birmingham, AL Wedding Photography

On August 1, 2009 I was honored to travel to Mountain Brook, AL to shoot the beautiful wedding of Emily and Eric.  Working with this couple was a treat from the very beginning.  I knew from the first meeting that they were definitely something special!  Emily had an amazing attention to detail (which I LOVE in my brides!) which made their day flow by smoothly from beginning to end, as well as producing some absolutely breathtaking photo ops!  Thank you to you both for allowing me to share in such a momentous occasion, and thanks as well to my new friend Emily for coming along to 2nd shoot with me!  Enjoy!

I’m BACK!!!!

Hey everyone!  This just in…yes, Kricia Morris IS still alive!  I know that I have sadly neglected the blog over the past couple of months.  Life has been…well…hectic.  We’ll just leave it at that!  lol  However, it is official, I am 100% moved and ready to operate on the Hawaiian Islands!  I just wanted to share a few quick pictures with ya’ll of my amazing new surroundings to whet your appetites until I get all the way back onto the blogging train.  In the weeks ahead be expecting weddings, portraits, beach sessions, newborns, day after sessions, a new look for the blog and the business…yes, the list just goes on and on!  Also, I will be sharing some more personal pictures along the way so that my friends and family back home can keep up with what is going on in our new lives in the Pacific.  Thank you all so much for the encouragement, support and patience that you have shown me along the way.  I’ve said it before, but I’ll definitely say it again.  Without all of you behind me, there would be NO Kricia Morris Photography, so I give you guys all the credit!  Enjoy the pictures and get ready for a wild ride!

These images were all taken on our first “road trip” around the island.

Warren getting ready to take pictures with Mommy!

My chauffer and tour guide.  And yes folks, this is a typical Matthew face…at least when a camera is around.

HawaiiBlog006

Giovanni’s Shrimp truck over by the shrimp farms…all I can say is OMG at the food.  Here I thought Florida had good shrimp!  :)

 HawaiiBlog003

A tropical drink?  Yes please!  Next time I’m going for the coconut!!

 HawaiiBlog004

Yeah, this is what came out of the truck…AH MAY ZING.  If my BFF Beth was here she would definitely scold me for buying food from a truck on the side of the road (I like boiled peanuts, what can I say!) but this was DEFINITELY worth it.  Yummy!!!

 HawaiiBlog005

This was right next to our picnic table…and no, I didn’t do color adjustments on it!

 HawaiiBlog007

Matthew took over the camera to snap one of Wo and me…this might be a first, I’m on my own blog!

This is Shark’s Cove…I’m going snorkeling here SOON!

 HawaiiBlog011

The rock formations around here are so exotic to me…absolutely beautiful!

OK, so shaved ice is hugely popular over on the North Shore.  We stopped at the oldest shaved ice seller for a little mid afternoon snack and I decided to go local.  I got my shaved ice with the cream AND the beans…After that experience, I think I’ll stay a mainlander when it comes to my snack choices from now on.  Shaved Ice – Delish….Beans in my Shaved Ice – NEVER again.

 HawaiiBlog017

Not only are there mountains here, which are super strange to a Florida girl like myself, but we got to drive through the middle of pineapple fields.  How incredibly cool is that!?

 HawaiiBlog018

We ended our tour at the Dole Plantation.

 HawaiiBlog019

I really wanted to just pick one to take home with me.

 HawaiiBlog020

Warren fed the fish…and those jokers are crazy.  They jumped out of the water at us!

 HawaiiBlog021

Boys will be boys.

 HawaiiBlog022

And they will convince girls to be silly too.

 HawaiiBlog023

I think the shorts suit him.

 HawaiiBlog024

Some of Wo, just because!

 HawaiiBlog025

Yes, it’s OK to be jealous of the eyelashes.  I am.

 HawaiiBlog026

And the silliness takes over!

 HawaiiBlog027

Some local foliage…nope, didn’t color correct those either.  They almost made my eyes hurt!

Hope that you guys enjoyed a little taste of what’s going on in my life these days.  Stay tuned, there’s TONS more to come!
